Are you a teen or young adult with ADHD, Autism, or a learning disability?

Everyone is unique, with differences in the way we think, feel, express ourselves, and experience the world. You are the expert on your own life, you know how you want to live and how you cope best. Neurodiversity brings with it a unique set of strengths that should be fostered and celebrated. With my background in special education, I had the opportunity to connect with, and learn from, many young people who are neurodivergent.

How we can help.

Neurodiverse-affirming, stigma-free, nothing about me without me, are some of the concepts that are integrated into counselling and Growing Minds.

Neurodiverse affirming therapy is listening to understand, offering opinions and breaks within a session, empowering clients to advocate for themselves, and asking for feedback. It is also recognizing that not every problem clients come to counselling with relates to neurodivergence.
