Couples Therapy

Couples Therapy in New Westminster.

It is the same argument wearing different clothes, or the quiet that settles in when neither of you knows what to say anymore.

What you really want is to feel heard again, and to remember why you chose each other.

When it feels stuck

Lately it feels like you are speaking different languages. Small things turn into big ones, and the big ones never quite resolve. You feel unheard, and you suspect they feel the same. The distance between you has become its own quiet routine.

Things can be different. Couples therapy is not about deciding who is right, or assigning blame. It is about understanding the patterns underneath the conflict, and slowly building a shared language for the things that matter most.

What it looks like here

Collaborative, and never about blame.

Our approach is collaborative and non-judgmental. We focus on the patterns between you rather than fault, and we move at a pace that feels safe for both partners. You can meet in person at our New Westminster office, one block from the Columbia SkyTrain, or virtually anywhere in BC.

Reconnect, at your pace.

A free, no-pressure consultation is a relaxed first step. Let’s see if couples therapy at Growing Minds feels right for you both.

I came to couples work because so much of what hurts in a relationship lives in the space between two people, not in either one alone. I help partners slow down the moments that usually spin out, and find words for what is sitting underneath them.

My work with couples is grounded in Gottman Method training, alongside emotion-focused and motivational approaches. The goal is not a flawless relationship. It is one where you both feel understood, and where the hard conversations finally have somewhere to land.

How long is each session?

Sessions are typically 50 minutes. If a longer session suits you better, that can be arranged ahead of time.

Yes. We offer secure video sessions anywhere in British Columbia, as well as in person at our New Westminster office, one block from the Columbia SkyTrain.
